ACHES AND
PAINS, WEIGHT, MENOPAUSE
“I no longer have the “aches
and pains” I started with,
am back down to my lifelong weight,
have the fitness and energy I was used to…”
In June, 2004, I came to the Natural Medicine Center to seek help with “aches and pains” that seemed to me to be age related, I was 50 years old. A consultation with Dr. Janet Yeh revealed that my concerns were menopause related. I started treatments with Dr. Yeh’s husband, Dr. Kevin Huang.
The education, care and love that I have received at NMC is like nothing I have ever experienced in my life. I found fellow souls in religious beliefs, an added comfort and bonus. Healing can be done in many ways, at NMC love is a large part of the treatment.
The first series of treatments and teas cleansed my liver and began to support my organ systems. I attended Saturday classes where I learned the basics of truly healthy food selection and preparations. I cleaned out my cupboards, bought a wok and have learned to eat for health. I lost 18 pounds that I gained when menopause began and didn’t suffer starvation. I am thrilled to have the knowledge to help keep myself healthy by “eating right”.
The second part of my treatment addressed boosting my female hormones up to the pre-menopausal level, or close to that level. I take supplements for my hormone requirements that NMC manufactures. I also take the vitamin compound Daily Health. Dr. Kevin Huang has educated me on the very important role hormones play in the aging process and improving the quality of life.
I am now, one year later, on a regular schedule of “maintenance” treatments, supplements and vitamins. I no longer have the “aches and pains” I started with, am back down to my lifelong weight, have the fitness and energy I was used to and believe I am a very fortunate person to be cared for by Dr. Janet and Dr. Kevin.
